Cover Reveal ~ The Fallen Stars!

Are you ready for a little WOW factor?

Today I have the absolute pleasure of revealing the FABulous cover for:~

The Fallen Stars
~ by Stephanie Keyes

"Imaginative and fast-paced. Couldn't put it down!" - E.G. Foley, New York Times Bestselling author of The Gryphon Chronicles

"This well-written and intriguing fantasy was a delight to read. I can't wait to read the second novel in this series!" - Linn B. Halton, author Never Alone on The Star Child by Stephanie Keyes

When all is lost, he will have to make the ultimate decision.

Kellen St. James was just your average seventeen-year-old prodigy, until he eighty-sixed the Lord of Faerie and proposed to a Celtic goddess. Now everything in Kellen’s life gets turned upside-down when Calienta, Kellen, and friend, Gabriel Stewart, find themselves on the run from a seriously irritated group of faeries. The worst part? They have zero idea why.

Suddenly, Kellen finds himself stuck in the middle of another prophecy that questions everything about him including where his loyalties lie. Plus, Calienta’s more than a bit different; she’s making choices that he doesn’t understand. And Gabe, his best friend? He’s started doing all sorts of freaky things that make Kellen question who he really is.

Kellen and Calienta will fight to stay together and keep the hidden part of the prophecy from becoming reality.

When the ultimate power is within reach, which side will he choose?

I’ve been awarded the Very Inspiring Blogger Award!

Thank you so much to Melanie Robertson-King for awarding me the Very Inspiring Blog Award!
Henceforth, I will strive to be just that, VERY inspiring! Before I pass the award on to seven other worthy bloggers, I have to provide seven random facts about me. Hmm? OK, here goes:

1.    I once spotted Timothy Spall while out boating.  No, proud to say, I didn’t hound him to pose with me for a pic. Instead I had a chat to his lovely wife.

2.    I like boating. Surprise, surprise. Sinking, not so much. However, as the boat went down, I selflessly saved … the Chablis!! Yay!

3.    I abseiled down a rock-face by way of research for my upcoming book, appropriately entitled A Little Bit of Madness.

4.    I’m passionately in love – with my dog, Snoops (I might have mentioned this before).

5.    I once deep-sea dived. The ballast wasn’t weighty enough to hold me down. Glug, glug.

6.    I installed a new shower! Yes, it still works.

7.    I like to sculpt and paint.

Right, I’m passing the award on to the following hard-working, talented and uber-supportive people:
Carol E Wyer - Facing 50 with humour

Jontybabe JB Johnston – It’s a crazy world!
Linn B Halton  - Life, love and beyond…

Lindsay Healy  - The Little Reader Library

Carol Hedges  - Carol Hedges Blogspot
Sharon Goodwin – Fiction Addiction Blog Tours

Stay safe. Be Happy!

Book Tour ~ A Little Bit of Madness

Blog Tours

Anyone who has read any my previous books would know I like to write romantic comedy, hoping to leave the reader with that all-important feel good factor.
I do, however, like to write about real people, dealing with real life events that readers can relate to. Bearing in mind changing population demographics, in A Little bit of Madness therefore, I aimed for a multigenerational read. Alongside my hunky but flawed hero and my feisty yet vulnerable heroine, I’ve starred a cast of people of the Queen’s generation, or as Celia – our heroine – prefers to call them, her elderly independents.

Now their home is under threat and Celia will go to any lengths to save it – even leaping from a church steeple to bring media attention to the plight of her old people.  Will hunky hero PC Alex Burrows be her White Knight in Blue and ride to her rescue when it all goes horribly wrong? Can he be trusted? Can Celia trust her heart?

This Fabulous, funny, heart-breaking story of love, hope and betrayal has already had one reviewer ‘hot and bothered’ and ‘laughing hard’! Now it’s over to the reader. Ooh, I do hope you enjoy ~

Keep safe & have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well, it’s that time of year again: The End … almost.  And what a fabulous year it has been! Three books published, THANKS to lovely Safkhet Publishing, and out there – at last.  I can’t quite believe it.
Recipes for Disaster was published in February – and shortlisted for the Festival of Romance Innovation in Romantic Fiction Award.
Somebody to Love, published in July, has garnered some fabulous reviews and is now featured as one of Dizzy C’s Little Book Blog best reads 2012.  Yay!
Warrant for Love (a teeny bit more racy than Somebody to Love) was published in August and is getting phenomenal reviews.  You can find an example of one such lovely review here (so proud was I, I couldn’t resist framing it!).  I am truly thrilled to bits ~ and a little bit gobsmacked that my books are being read and loved.  I think, I hope, reviewers, who give freely of their time to help bring books and readers together, realise how truly grateful authors are.
Thank you! Thank you, too, to all my lovely friends who have given me so much support, following and sharing my progress and occasionally offering a shoulder to blubber on.
A huge THANK YOU also to loveahappyending.com, a wonderful group of talented authors and reader/reviewers, without whose support I would have flailed about and possibly sunk without trace.  You can find a FABulous roundup of loveahappyending’s achievements and books published over the last year if you click on the link.  More to follow in the New Year.  Onward and Upward!
Lastly, my new book (yes, another one!) releases on Valentine’s Day 2013! The day before my birthday!
I was knee-deep in edits and proofreading over Christmas so enlisted Santa’s little helpers to lend a hand/paw. Unfortunately, they found themselves otherwise engaged.

The gorgeous cover model for A Little Bit of Madness, Carol E Wyer, was chosen from a competition run at the Festival of Romance 2012.  Keep an eye out for that on Fiction Addiction Book Tours.  You will NOT be disappointed.
Keep Safe everyone ~ and have a
Happy, Healthy & Successful New Year.

REVIEW: Touched by The Light ~ Linn B Halton

Touched by The Light - A Fun, thought-provoking love story with a psychic twist
Dying was, quite frankly, incredibly easy.' This is the opening to Linn B Halton's Touched by The Light - and you have to admit it's an intriguing hook. It drew me immediately into the story, telling me what to expect and then going on to briefly outline poor Mya's predicament. She's finally got a point where she can see her way forward in life (and love). More importantly, she knows what she wants and has the tools to achieve it, and... wham ...suddenly she's on the other side and having to struggle all over again - to find her meaning in death.

Death - it's a scary word. The story, however, though obviously having physic and paranormal elements, isn't scary at all. It's more a story about love and life, relationships and how we cope with the scars we carry into those relationships. If you haven't already gathered, Mya is a ghost. Telling her story in the first person (kudos to the author for telling the story in first point of view for all characters, by the way, which is cleverly done, each character having their own unique voice), Mya finds herself in the midst of love-torn, Laurel and Dan's relationship. Laurel, it turns out, is able to communicate with spirits, which gives us the clue that Mya is somehow meant to `meet' her. She has no clue why, though, and thus begins Mya's quest to sort out her own conundrum as well as Laurel's and Dan's difficulties.

Touched by the Light is a thought-provoking love story, a fun romance with a psychic twist, a few `will they?' surprises and a must-read-on feel good factor! (I loved Mya’s first encounter with the Ouija board. Definitely felt I was there. I won't say where for fear of `spoilers' but it made me laugh). It raises questions and looks at what draws us to other people. In short, it delivers - and has a hugely satisfying ending. I would highly recommend this book. A fabulous read to tuck up with over the holidays!
