Back from hols, sun-kissed and relaxed. Well, actually,
more sun-sizzled and the merest bit … stressed. Fortunately, we did make the
treacherous fast-flowing river journey before
the engine gave out. And, even more fortunately, the man didn’t break anything
too crucial when he fell over backwards, pride not withstanding which was
rather dented when, having established he wasn’t dead, I dissolved into a fit
of hysterical giggles.
All that said, we did have a lovely time - I still maintain
the best way to explore the UK is via the inland waterways - and ended up at
Upton Marina (ours is the posh boat, obviously, not),
accessed via the recently restored Droitwich Canal,
where the scenery was stunning,
and Worcester. Viewed from the River Severn, it’s a truly beautiful, vibrant city:
We encountered some of the local wildlife,
rare musical talent,
and finally ended up at Upton, where we saw the hugely
talented, Toyah Willcox, who knows how to entertain and looks pretty, darn good
into the bargain (this incidentally was where the man fell over backwards. Say no more.)
Now it’s back to business, catching up: housework, work,
work, washing, writing (yay!). On which note, I’m uber-pleased to announce I am
the newly appointed Reviewer Awards Co-ordinator for Loveahappyending
Lifestyle, celebrating and rewarding the fantastic job that
reviewers do, selflessly sacrificing their time to read our books! Three cheers
for all our reviewers out there. We salute you!
If you haven’t yet seen the fabulous Loveahappyending
Lifestyle Magazine, you can view it here, Read or download for free and enjoy!
On a more personal note, in conjunction with my upcoming
book tour - details to follow, Safkhet Publishing is holding a fabulous
competition, the theme: ROMANTIC HEROES! Safkhet is currently seeking
candidates to join the panel judging short stories. Sound Exciting? You can
find more details here: ROMANTIC
HEROES.
Looks like Snoops and I are going to be busy little
bees! Keep safe everyone! Lots of love.

I love reading about your adventures, Sheryl. It sounds like so much fun. I'm jealous! Your dog has a more adventurous life than I do! :)
Ship ahoy! Is it safe to come on board (I don't have sea legs and never will...alas). Sounds like you had a fab time and I hope it was a truly relaxing break! Lxx
What a wonderful time you've had. You make me all nostalgic for the West Country. Soon, you'll have to point your boat up towards Lincs and visit us here!! Glad to hear you back and good luck with everything on your plate, LOL. Rock on!
